G-Force 1500 - Schionning Wednesday, 10 August 2011 Print E-mail

SailForce provided sails made by Incidence and carbon wing mast by Lorima.
For this latest G-Force 1500 we manufactured the standing rigging using Dynex Dux and IRB Dyneema for the running rigging.

Here, under, are some pictures of the boat under construction when we visited the yard in Maryborough, Queensland.

We will step the mast next week...

Wasabi, Elan 410R - Skipper Jon Hanson Wednesday, 06 July 2011 Print E-mail

Sailforce has been instrumental in the optimization of our Elan 410R Wasabi that we bought from Slovenia in August 2010.

Philippe not only helped rerig the boat with lighter and more suitable technology, he has also helped guide us in our moving forward with boat design and sails. He was the main driver behind the fitting of a carbon bowsprit to accommodate our A3. In conjunction with our sailmaker he designed it to a length such that the IRC penalty was just .001.

Philippe and his team have also joined us on numerous offshore races and has been an important factor in the improving standards of our crew. He has trained the guys in the new technology so they are comfortable and fast with it themselves. He has opened our eyes to new ways of utilizing sails to get the maximum speed out of them.

We have come from being a boat maximized for ORC with big jibs and small spinnakers to a yacht maximized for IRC with sails and systems to suit.

We've gone from the back of the fleet to the front thanks to Sailforce.
